In short: Jiří Horčička is a private chauffeur in Prague with over 25 years of experience in VIP transport. He drives his clients’ own cars only — he does not run a car of his own. An hour behind the wheel of a client’s car costs CZK 750 (about €31, minimum four hours); a full day is CZK 7,000. He also covers for personal chauffeurs on sick leave or holiday.
Why a chauffeur who drives your own car
You already own the right car. You just need someone to drive it.
You chose that car with care. I drive it with the same care — and you pay for my time and skill, not for a second car. The child seat stays where it belongs, the sunglasses stay in the glovebox, everything stays exactly where you left it. All that changes is the person behind the wheel.
One person, no fleet
You know my name and my face in advance. On the day you book, I drive no one else — one person, one responsibility, no dispatch desk.

You travel in the car you know and like. Nothing to get used to, nothing to explain — to a partner or a neighbour, you simply arrive with your driver.

I treat a car in my care as if it were my own. It comes back in the state I received it.

Who I drive for
Who I suit — and who I don’t
I drive owners of fine cars who would rather not drive just now. Families and companies suddenly without their driver. And clients setting out on a holiday or a trip abroad in their own car — I drive the whole way. I take weddings, social evenings and standing arrangements.
I have no car of my own — I drive yours. I don’t do cheap transfers, group runs or late-night pickups from bars.

How much does a chauffeur for your own car cost in Prague?
An hour with Jiří Horčička at the wheel of your car is CZK 750 (about €31), with a four-hour minimum. A full day (10 hours) is CZK 7,000; multi-day trips are CZK 6,500 per day. Prices are fixed and agreed in advance — no meter, no deposit.
Do you have a car of your own?
No. Jiří Horčička drives his clients’ own cars only. You pay for the person at the wheel, not for a car you already own. No suitable car? I will help you arrange a short-term rental in your name.
How is the car handed over?
I take the car and the keys from you or at an agreed spot — we go over its condition and the fuel together. I drive it for the booking and return it wherever you tell me, in the state I received it. I am at ease with an S-Class, a Porsche and their like.
Will you cover for our personal driver?
Yes. Jiří Horčička stands in for personal drivers through illness and holidays — from a single day to several weeks, in your car and keeping to your routine. No one around you need notice a stand-in.
Is a private chauffeur the same as a taxi?
No. Carrying passengers, Jiří Horčička drives under the passenger-vehicle regime, covered by a licence and a taxi-driver’s permit — no meter, a price agreed in advance. You book a specific person, not an anonymous ride.
Can you come today?
Subject to availability, yes. A ride booked for the same day carries a 20% surcharge; otherwise a day’s notice is ideal. I confirm every booking in writing with a fixed price.
